Interlacing Eden 

Entrelacs Eden – Statement
It all began in the garden of the studio. An ordinary gesture — bending a branch so that a fruit could be picked — suddenly revealed the space differently: by the river that borders the garden, the fig trees, mulberries, vines and wild flora aligned themselves into a vision of Eden.

From this sudden revelation emerged 26 paintings, created over three summer months. Plants, flowers, and the fauna of the Oise intertwine in an organic fabric where everything is movement, proliferation, and interlacing.

The formats, ranging from monumental (250 × 200 cm) to intimate (120 × 100 cm), in mixed media on linen, open shifting fields: planes crossing, colors clashing or harmonizing, materials held in tension.

Entrelacs Eden does not aim to depict a lost paradise. Rather, the series questions what underpins our perceptions and narratives: vital chaos, origin myths, and the interlacing of psychological and cultural forces that shape our relationship to the world.
